I can not delete access to a user with the TTlock app from TTlock remotely; what to do?

Why can I not make changes to my TTlock remotely? I am out of town and want to delete access to a user, but it gives me the error that I must be near the lock to make changes.

Yes, TTlock advertises access from anywhere, but I had to share the app and log in to another family member who had to go to the lock to delete a user.

I should be able to do this from anywhere. That is the point of having a lock with an app.

Yes, TTlock advertises access from anywhere, but the first important is, did you configure the TTlock gateway for your TTlock smart locks?

TTlock gateway is crucial for enabling remote access and control of your TTlock smart locks. The gateway acts as a bridge between the lock (primarily using Bluetooth for local control) and the internet, allowing you to control and monitor your lock from anywhere.

You must add a TTlock gateway from your TTlock app and connect it to your Wi-Fi-F router; then, you can control your TTlock from anywhere.

If you’re experiencing issues with remote access:

  1. Check the Gateway’s Connection: Ensure the TTlock gateway is powered on and connected to your Wi-Fi network. The gateway should be placed within the range of your Wi-Fi router and the smart lock to ensure reliable communication.
  2. Pairing: Ensure that your TTlock smart lock is correctly paired with the gateway. You might need to follow the setup process in the TTlock app to ensure they’re communicating properly.
  3. App & Firmware: Ensure your TTlock app is updated to the latest version. Also, check if any firmware updates are available for both the lock and the gateway.
  4. Internet Connection: Ensure that your home’s internet connection is stable. If the gateway can’t access the internet, it won’t be able to relay commands to the lock.
  5. Reboot: Sometimes, simply rebooting the gateway (unplugging it and plugging it back in) can resolve connectivity issues.
  6. Contact Support: If you’ve checked all the above and still can’t control your lock remotely, it might be time to contact TTlock’s customer support. They can provide guidance specific to your setup and potentially identify any issues.

Remember, the gateway is essential for remote functionality. Without it, the TTlock system defaults to local Bluetooth control for security reasons.
