Is there a switch compatible with the TTlock gateway to operate a remote automatic door?

I am starting to work on the installation of smartlocks and I have selected TTlock as the best app.

However, I am having difficulties because, in some applications, I need to install a simple switch to operate a remote automatic door, and I would like to do it from the same app.

The problem is that I don’t find any switch compatible with the TTlock gateway. Do you know how can I do it? Is it possible to use Tuya switches with a TTlock gateway?

As I know, TTlock specializes in smart lock solutions and doesn’t inherently support smart switches or other IoT devices directly through their gateway. It’s essential to understand that different smart home ecosystems might have their protocols and compatibilities, so direct interoperability isn’t always guaranteed.

Here are a few solutions and workarounds to consider:

  1. Tuya Integration:
    • While TTlock and Tuya are different ecosystems, both are popular in IoT. Tuya, in particular, is known for its wide range of smart home devices.
    • If there is no direct compatibility, you might consider utilizing a third-party smart home hub or a platform like Home Assistant or openHAB. These platforms can bridge different ecosystems, allowing you to control TTlock and Tuya devices from the same interface.
  2. IFTTT (If This Then That):
    • Check if TTlock and Tuya both support IFTTT. IFTTT allows various apps and devices to create custom applets where an action in one app can trigger an action in another. For example, if TTlock supports IFTTT, you could set up a scenario where unlocking the TTlock triggers the Tuya switch to activate the automatic door.
  3. API Integration:
    • If you have some programming knowledge, check if TTlock and Tuya provide APIs for their platforms. With API access, you can create a custom solution that ties the two systems together, though this would be more complex than the other solutions.
  4. Alternative Devices:
    • Suppose it turns out to be too complicated to integrate Tuya switches with the TTlock gateway. In that case, you might consider looking for alternative switches with known compatibility with TTlock, or you might even consider an entirely different smart lock solution that better fits your needs.
  5. Manual Integration:
    • If all else fails, consider setting up a physical relay or switch mechanism that triggers when the lock is unlocked. While this isn’t as seamless as a fully integrated smart solution, it might suffice for specific use cases.

However, if you specifically need a switch that can integrate with TTlock’s ecosystem, consider the following options:

  1. TTlock’s Official Channels: Contact TTlock directly or check their official website. They may have released new products or partnered with other manufacturers offering your desired solution. Their customer service might also be able to provide a workaround or recommend compatible devices.
  2. Third-party Integration Solutions: If TTlock doesn’t offer a direct solution, you might consider integrating through a third-party hub or platform. Platforms like Home Assistant or openHAB allow for integrating various smart devices, even from different ecosystems. This way, you might be able to link TTlock’s actions with another smart switch’s actions.
  3. Custom Solutions: If you have technical know-how, TTlock does offer SDKs (Software Development Kits) for their products. With an SDK, you can potentially develop a custom solution that allows a specific type of switch or relay to operate in conjunction with a TTlock event (like unlocking a door).
