How to reset Weiser Halo touch?


Hi There,

This is Mana from Canada. I am installing a new Weiser Halo touch deadbolt lock, but it is not working after installation. So, do I have to factory reset it and install it again?

If so, please let me know how to reset it. Thanks

Hello Mana,

If your Weiser Halo Touch deadbolt lock isn’t working after installation, a factory reset might help. However, before you proceed with a factory reset, ensure that:

  1. The batteries are fresh and installed correctly.
  2. The door alignment is correct, meaning the bolt moves freely and isn’t obstructed or misaligned.
  3. The cable connecting the exterior and interior parts of the lock isn’t pinched or damaged.

You can proceed with a factory reset if you’ve checked these and still face issues.

Factory Resetting the Weiser Halo Touch Deadbolt:

  1. Delete the lock from the Weiser app.
  2. Remove the lock from the Bluetooth list on your device by tapping “Forget Device” in the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Remove the battery pack.
  4. Press and HOLD the Program button while reinserting the battery pack. Hold the button for 30 seconds or until the lock beeps and the status LED flashes red. Then, release the Program button.
  5. After the beeping stops, press and release the Program button once more. The LED will flash green and red, and the auto-handing process will begin.
    Note: It can take a few seconds for the handling to start.
  6. The latch will retract and extend to learn the orientation of the door. This confirms the Factory Reset has been completed.
  7. The LED will flash green if auto-handing is successful or red if auto-handing is unsuccessful. Repeat the steps if the Factory Reset is unsuccessful until the LED flashes green and red.

If you continue to have issues after the reset, it might be a good idea to consult the user manual or contact Weiser’s customer support for further assistance. They might have specific troubleshooting steps for the Halo Touch model.
