If you’re looking to remove a Wyze Lock from your door, follow these steps:

  1. Unlock the Door: Ensure the door is unlocked before you begin the removal process.
  2. Remove the Wyze Lock Cover:
    • Locate the small hole at the bottom of the lock.
    • Insert a pin or small tool into the hole and gently push. This will release the back cover.
    • Slide the cover upwards to remove it.
  3. Disconnect the Battery: You’ll see the battery connector once the cover is off. Gently disconnect the battery.
  4. Remove the Wyze Lock:
    • Locate the two screws securing the Wyze Lock to the mounting plate.
    • Using a screwdriver, unscrew and remove them.
    • Remove the Wyze Lock from the door once the screws are removed.
  5. Remove the Mounting Plate:
    • If you’ve installed the mounting plate on your door, you’ll also need to remove it. Unscrew the screws holding the mounting plate to the door.
    • Gently remove the mounting plate.
  6. Remove the Tailpiece Adapter (if installed):
    • If you used a tailpiece adapter during the installation, remove it from the door’s existing deadbolt.
  7. Reassemble the Original Lock:
    • If you replaced parts of your original lock with the Wyze Lock, reassemble the original lock components back in place.
  8. Remove from Wyze App (if needed):
    • If you want to remove the Wyze Lock from your Wyze account:
      1. Open the Wyze app.
      2. Tap on the Wyze Lock.
      3. Tap on the gear icon (settings).
      4. Scroll down and find the “Delete” or “Remove Device” option.
      5. Confirm the removal.

Always refer to the user manual or the official Wyze website for any specific instructions or updates related to the product. If you’re unsure about any step, consulting with a professional or someone experienced with home hardware installations might be a good idea.
