Factory resetting will delete all your existing user codes, and the current programming code will be erased.

4. Find the Schlage default programming code

5. Change the default programming code

Once you have the default programming, please change this default programming code to your personalized programming code you change with the following steps:

  • Enter the original programming code (six-digit code). Wait for three Orange Lights + 3 Beeps.
  • Press the Schlage button, and the keypad turns blue.
  • Press the “3” buttons and wait for the Schlage button to show three Orange Lights + 3 Beeps.
  • Enter the new programming code (six digits) and wait for the Schlage button to show three Orange Lights + 3 Beeps.
  • Re-enter the same new programming code (six digits)
  • If Success! The Schlage button will show one flash green Light + Long Beep.

Then, you can use this new six-digit programming code to program your Schlage.

As mentioned above, whether you have Schlage BE365 or Schlage FE575,  when your Schlage FE575 programming code is not working,  you must check the batteries and ensure you are using the current programming code. Now you will have to factory reset your Schlage FE575 and set a new six-digit programming code:

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Press and release the Schlage button.
  3. The following steps must occur within 10 seconds: Reconnect the battery. The Schlage button or indicator light will light green for one second. Then, press and hold the Schlage button until it lights green and the lock beeps.
  4. Try entering one of the default User Codes. If it does not unlock the Schlage lock, start over at step 2.

Schlage Sense programming code is not working.

Schlage Sense programming code is a six-digit number that you can use to program and add additional functions to your Schlage Sense BE479 Touchscreen Deadbolt lock.

If your Schlage Sense BE479 programming code is not working, please ensure you have used the correct programming code and the batteries are okay.

If both above are okay, please try to factory reset your Schlage Sense BE479 lock:

  1. Disconnect the batteries.
  2. Press and hold the Outside Schlage Button.
  3. While holding the Outside Schlage Button, reconnect the batteries.
  4. Release the Outside Schlage Button. If you move the lock to a new door, install the Schlage lock before continuing.
  5. To check that the lock was reset, press the Outside Schlage Button and enter one of the default access codes.
  6. If the reset is successful, the lock will perform a setup routine. Wait until the bolt stops moving. The reset and setup are complete.
