Is Difient electronic deadbolts switching from the KW1 key way to the SC1 key way?
Hello, I have to master Defiant key locks occasionally at my job, and I can only use a KW1 key. I’ve recently seen Defiant electronic deadbolts in a black finish with an SC1 key. Is this only on the black finish models, or is Defiant switching to a different key?

Defiant is a Home Depot house brand, and their locks traditionally used the Kwikset KW1 keyway. Traditionally, Defiant locks used the Kwikset KW1 keyway, but it appears that some newer models might be using a Schlage SC1 keyway, which would explain the SC1 key you’ve encountered.
